Mr. Marc Costantine was hired as the Village's Animal Control Officer (A.C.O.) effective immediately. Marc resides on Mill Street in Poland. Marc can be reached at 315-826-3930 or at his village's email address of Animalcontrolofficer@villageofpolandny.org
Marc has the following responsibilities: stray DOGS or CATS ONLY in the village, barking dogs issues and insuring that dog owners pick up after their dogs.
There is a space in the fire station where stray cats and dogs can be put safely and pose no threat to the community. Thank you to Cook Fence who has donated the kennels. These kennels are placed in the NYS Troopers quarters section of the firehouse. Strays will be kept for five days until they are claimed by their owners, legally adopted or euthanized by the local humane society. As we take pride in our beautiful village PLEASE pick up after your pets when they defacate! If you see an animal in the village that poses a threat to anyone please call the NYS Troopers immediately. Do not call Marc as he is not responsible for handling dangerous animals. As there is leash law in the village, please obey the rules and be respectful of others. If you would like a copy of the law please obtain one at the Village Office.
